This year was my 4th visit of the Heaven On Wheels show hosted in Brussels, Belgium. I regularly recommend this show to people in the UK as once you get off the Eurotunnel in France you can be in Brussels within a couple of hours. Over the years I have organised a convoy with meeting spots at service stations in Essex & Kent and then finally some people meet us at the final UK spot, Folkstone.

This year certainly had the largest number of cars convoying, trying to get around 25-30 cars all together to another country and all on the train at once proved difficult. But we hung around in the freezing cold weather and battled on once everyone arrived in France. The convoy alone is one of the better parts of the weekend trip. Check out some of the cars below!

This year the majority of us stayed at JAM Hotel nearby to the show venue. After some issues finding local parking in an underground car park, we all checked in got ready and headed out to find somewhere to eat and have a tour around Brussels with my good friend Stan who was unable to make the show on the Sunday this year.
While heading to the show on the Sunday, me & Immi found a location for a quick photo opportunity, so it was only right.
Now do not get me mistaken, Heaven On Wheels has a vast majority of styles of cars and often people are quick to turn their nose up and point blank refuse. But it’s a great opportunity to get in to Europe for a show early on in the season. When walking around the closed off multi-storey car park, it’s quite often like looking for a diamond in the dirt if you are in to a clean, stanced styling. But there is certainly something for everyone from audio guys on the top floor, stanced cars floating around and some poorly finished 90’s style body kits and lighting modifications.
Anyhow throughout the day you can certainly pick out some stunning cars that certainly stand out from the rest whether they are parked up in a show & shine spot or on one of many trade stands.

MK6 Golf’s were clearly very popular across The English Channel this year.
The guys at Heaven On Wheels have a number of judges throughout the day picking their favourite cars to be part of the top 100 display outside under the motorway bridges, which makes great opportunity for photos and to find some of the vehicle owners for a chat.

Some people just have a natural eye for modifying and this just goes to show, okay I will admit deep pockets helps too, but wouldn’t you if you could.

Thought it would be perfectly fitting to end this set of photos with yet another great example of a red VW Golf.
As you can see from above there is a high quality of cars on show plus many more that I didn’t actually photograph amongst hundreds of other cars parked around alongside. Get out of your comfort zone, get out of the UK and have a great weekend in Belgium.
Certified will be organising another convoy for 2019 but with a bit more free roaming if wanted for people once we arrive in Belgium. Please get in touch via our contact page or message us on Instagram for further information.
