I’m a big fan of watching friends succeed and turning dreams in to reality through consistency and hard work. This is a key reason why I love the Gravity event run by Jordan Clarke from Slammed UK. I went to his meets in a car park & also at Ace Cafe many years ago now and to see Jordan running a show for his 3rd consecutive year successfully was great.
Unfortunately last year I missed out and Jordan has not let me live it down since, so this year I made sure I was there getting some photos on the Saturday and helping out on the Sunday.
Gravity is located at the Stoneleigh NAEC venue in the Coventry area, and the show has been ever growing since it first started in 2016 after great feedback from visitors & traders. The applications came in the hundreds & thousands and Jordan and the team had to filter through to pick the best of the best and create a great mix to display. This year Jordan also expanded to an extra VIP hall which was a nice touch.

Nick travelled over in his MK3 Audi TT-S from Belgium, always a pleasure to see. The colour of the WCI JB1’s set this off for me – Insta – @LWHS_TTS
S15’s are starting to pop up more often at ‘stance’ shows recently and I am taking a strong liking to them and it’s clear to see why

Andy’s BMW M4, this was the last show in satin black before the colour change in time for Fitted UK – Insta – @CaffeineIsCool
I love the fact that people take their time out to come to shows from another country. This BMW is another car to come over from Belgium. That is one way to tuck BBS with ease.

It’s not very often you find a Rocket Bunny MK5 golf. Ryan’s looks great and has since undergone a colour change after the Gravity event – Insta – @RocketBunnyRyan
Not everything at car shows is hatchbacks and coupes. Some people modify more practical cars. Golf estate is a perfect choice to have a mix of form & function
Clean Audi S3
I feel MK4 golfs are starting to appear less and less now so it is great to see a clean well looked after example. Set off with some Rotiform cast alloys helps the clean aesthetic styling.
Tyrone just managed to get the car ready in time for Gravity, this was getting the wheels built up, the car resprayed and the air ride installed. The car was parked in the new VIP hall in all its glory. The car is now unfortunately up for sale, have a look on his Instagram for more information – Insta – @Ty.Typical

Even took some time out to grab some shots of my main man Immi’s E46 M3 running Airlift & Carline CM6’s, just in time for an amazing sun set – Insta – @Immi_001
For me Gravity is one of my favourite UK shows and that is not friendly bias. The show brings a great variety of manufactures & styles, being in the middle of July there is always great weather even though I suffered some of the worst sun burn of my life on the Sunday this year. The on site hotel is super convenient and the Saturday night at the hotel is super chilled and a great opportunity to catch up with everybody and meet up with some new people.
I take pride in helping Jordan out on the Sunday to help execute the show to the best level possible after all of the hard work through out the year, even if people wanna piss about when leaving the venue, in my opinion show some respect to the show organisers and venue hosts and wait until you get back on the public roads and do as you choose.
Anyhow, keep an eye out on the Slammed UK Instagram / Facebook for an update of the 2019 date and make sure you apply & attend.
